In January 2009, I was contacted by Mrs.Jeni Ward who asked me to carry out an essential oil therapy consultation for her horse Murphy. He was suffering from Sarcoids along the line of the girth, on the sheath and stifle. Jeni was unable to ride the horse at the time because the Sarcoids on the girth area were ulcerated and bleeding and this would obviously cause the horse additional stress and discomfort. It appears that, unknown to Jeni, the horse had undergone surgery for Sarcoids before she purchased him and that the Sarcoids he developed were a continuation of the previous episode. Permission was obtained from her vet to use essential oil therapy and I carried out a consultation on 8 th January 2009 and sent her the treatments to offer to her horse. Due to the distance involved, I carried out the consultation by post and email. Jeni provided me with very detailed measurements and photographs of the Sarcoids at regular intervals so that I was able to assess his progress and we spoke regularly on the phone about his reaction to the oils and his general demeanour and behaviour. During the time he was on the oils, Murphy developed a couple of new sarcoids but these too fell off as time went on. By the autumn of 2009, all Murphy's Sarcoids had fallen off and the wounds had healed over but it was clear that there were some areas where the hair may not completely grown back. The skin was still fragile in some areas and liable to damage by weather and flies and occasionally the surface would bleed and scab over again and so we continued to offer the oils for a few weeks longer until there was complete healing and the hair had re-grown as much as possible. Murphy's treatment took a lot of dedication on the part of his owner as it was nearly a year but at the time of writing, he is still sarcoid free. Jeni ward's comment on the treatment was..." I first found Pauhla from her website and from that first call she became a very good friend who was never impatient and always ready to help, especially when I was despondent initially during the first few weeks when nothing appeared to be 'happening'. After that it was all go, the sarcs never knew what hit them.
I found the actual treatment very easy to administer as long as i didn't rush things and was careful to keep to twice daily. After a few months I was able to return to riding as all the sarcs had disappeared even though they had previously been cut out and treated, so 100 % success! "
